School Supplies Collection

A cooperative effort by Grace Church and The Center to be distributed by The Center to students who need these supplies to get started in their new school year. Collecting until September 7th.

The Center (Mohawk Valley Resource Center for Refugees) is a neighbor to Grace Church located a block away at 201 Bleeker St. The Center was established in the 1970s to aid refugees and over the years has helped over 16,500 individuals establish a beginning in the Mohawk Valley. Individuals from the Karen population have been assisted through the services of The Center. These services include, among others, English language classes, citizen ship classes, case management help, and mentoring programs. On the more practical side The Center has a store that provides immigrants with free clothing, as well as some HBA items, and school supplies.
