Allison E. Benson-Chukiert, 51, of New Hartford, passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at her home.
She was born on January 8, 1975, in Utica, the daughter of Michael T. and Constance Moore Benson. Allison graduated from New Hartford High School, SUNY Oswego, and Harpur College at Binghamton University. On August 8, 2008, she married Dr. Komgrit Chukiert at Grace Church in Utica.
Allison dedicated her professional life to education, teaching English and Spanish at the high school level. Throughout her career, she taught in Waterville and Madison before concluding her teaching career at Proctor High School in Utica.
Above all else, Allison's greatest joy in life was her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and daughter who always put the needs of those she loved before her own. She treasured the opportunity to be home raising her children and took great pride in…
